About Me

From a young age, I've felt connected to the essential rhythms of the natural world. Whether I was playing outside after a storm, climbing trees, or picking mulberries from a bush, I always felt drawn to the elements that made the planet and its living creatures capable of living in harmony together.

My love of Earth Science was instilled in me by my mother, who has since passed on, to respect and nurture nature. My sisters and I were taught to care for the planet as much as it cared for us and to practice reciprocity. As a single mother, I've instilled the same values in my daughter, something I'm confident she will continue to appreciate as she grows up. 

My first experience with Environmental Science was in elementary school when I came up with the idea to get the neighborhood kids together to clean up some vacant land that had been trashed. We put together a visual representation of what littering does to the environment and presented it to our school. We were applauded for our actions by the school and featured on the announcements. It felt great to be recognized for an achievement that benefits everyone and most importantly, Mother Earth.

As I grew up my love for Environmental Science started to morph into a love for Geology/Earth Science as I turned my attention to minerals like crystals and rocks. Heavenly Bracelet Shop is an online bracelet shop I created that combines the healing energy of crystals, and although still considered a pseudoscience, it fascinates me and allows me to showcase the natural beauty of minerals found in the Earth. 

My love of nature has also shown up in my day job as a yoga instructor and reiki practitioner. I guide my clients through written meditations that help them access hidden knowledge by exploring their inner world through the lens of the natural world.  Poetry and storytelling of how these experiences have helped shape me into the person I am today is something you can expect to see more of in my portfolio.

In 2022, I focused my passion of Geology/Earth Science and Environmental Science on gaining the academic knowledge and credentials needed to achieve a successful career in Earth Sciences. My goal is to make a lasting impact on others through research, data, personal insight, and writing; and to also be a bridge for natural alchemy and science to recognize their innate connection. Through my college courses so far, I've gained skills that teach me how to navigate the scientific world successfully and represent the natural world and it's inherent, often overlooked divinity from an academic perspective. In my portfolio, you can expect to see examples and illustrations of my experiences and processes as I navigate the world of Earth Science.
